This artwork by Alexander Kharitonov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2021. In the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction, the work Man with Light sold for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,048.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kharitonov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Faith From The Sorceress Series, 1965, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,139.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Kharitonov erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online wurde die Arbeit Man with Light für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.048,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kharitonov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Faith From The Sorceress Series, 1965 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 145.000,00 (€ 93.139,77) versteigert wurde.
