Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Mobile Maquette by Alexander Calder. The price achieved of USD 706,000.00 (€ 634,036.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Calder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poisson volant (Flying Fish) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,925,000.00 (€ 19,006,598.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mobile Maquette von Alexander Calder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 706.000,00 (€ 634.036,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Calder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poisson volant (Flying Fish) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.925.000,00 (€ 19.006.598,24).
