In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work A Still Life With Red, White And Pink Roses In A Glass Vase Over A Stone Ledge With Butterflies, A Grasshopper And A Beetle by Alexander Adriaenssen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,574.45), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Adriaenssen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Red, White And Pink Roses In A Glass Vase Over A Stone Ledge With Butterflies, A Grasshopper And A Beetle von Alexander Adriaenssen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.574,45) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Adriaenssen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 33.460,00 (€ 47.355,12) versteigert wurde.
