Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with oysters, bread, a knife, drinking vessels and a caster by Alexander Adriaenssen was sold in the Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,786.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Adriaenssen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with oysters, bread, a knife, drinking vessels and a caster von Alexander Adriaenssen wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.786,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Adriaenssen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 33.460,00 (€ 47.355,12) versteigert wurde.
