Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blowhard by Alex Hubbard was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,867.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alex Hubbard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dead In Pompeii in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 116,426.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blowhard von Alex Hubbard wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.867,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Hubbard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dead In Pompeii im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 116.426,22).
