Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Milk for Honey, or Tar) (in collaboration with Charlie Engman) by Alex Da Corte was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 8,027.84), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Da Corte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Vision in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 153,764.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Milk for Honey, or Tar) (in collaboration with Charlie Engman) von Alex Da Corte wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 8.027,84) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Da Corte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Vision im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 153.764,15).
