Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Jawa/ The Merry Jester with Vampire Watermelon) after Rousseau by Alex Da Corte was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,502.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alex Da Corte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night Vision in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 153,764.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Jawa/ The Merry Jester with Vampire Watermelon) after Rousseau von Alex Da Corte kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.502,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Da Corte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night Vision im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 153.764,15).
