Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Death of Seneca by Alessandro Magnasco was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 12,163.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alessandro Magnasco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Death of Seneca von Alessandro Magnasco wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 12.163,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
