Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alessandro Magnasco could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings auction, the work An Amorous Couple changed hands for USD 6,048.00 (€ 4,983.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alessandro Magnasco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
