In April 2021 Il Ponte held the auction Furniture and Old Master Paintings, which included the work Friars warming up in front of the hearth by Alessandro Magnasco. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 55,000.00 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alessandro Magnasco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Furniture and Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Friars warming up in front of the hearth von Alessandro Magnasco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 55.000,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
