In the Master Paintings and Drawings auction, the work An Amorous Couple sold for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,544.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alessandro Magnasco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).

In der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings wurde die Arbeit An Amorous Couple für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.544,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
