Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work An architectural capriccio with Christ Healing the Blind Man by Alessandro Magnasco. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,134.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alessandro Magnasco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit An architectural capriccio with Christ Healing the Blind Man von Alessandro Magnasco zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.134,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
