Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Saint Ambrose standing in a niche - en grisaille, a bozzetto by Alessandro Magnasco. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,844.24). Admittedly, works by Alessandro Magnasco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Ambrose standing in a niche - en grisaille, a bozzetto von Alessandro Magnasco zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.844,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
