Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Pope Saint Gregory the Great standing in a niche - en grisaille, a bozzetto by Alessandro Magnasco. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,475.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alessandro Magnasco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pope Saint Gregory the Great standing in a niche - en grisaille, a bozzetto von Alessandro Magnasco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.475,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
