Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary, which included the work Untitled (A Pair Of Drawings) by Alejandro Xul Solar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,532.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alejandro Xul Solar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mundo in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 71,009.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (A Pair Of Drawings) von Alejandro Xul Solar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.532,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Xul Solar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mundo im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 71.009,28).
