Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alejandro Otero could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Monocromo Blanco changed hands for USD 237,500.00 (€ 224,522.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Otero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coloritmo 57, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alejandro Otero konnte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Monocromo Blanco für USD 237.500,00 (€ 224.522,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Otero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coloritmo 57 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40) versteigert wurde.
