This artwork by Alejandro Obregón achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2020. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Flor carnívora sold for USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,466.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alejandro Obregón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bodegón in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alejandro Obregón erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Flor carnívora für USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.466,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
