This artwork by Albrecht Dürer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2011. In the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction, the work Map Of The Northern Sky; And Map Of The Southern Sky (B. 151, 152; M., Holl. 260, 259) sold for GBP 361,250.00 (€ 408,752.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albrecht Dürer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Christ Being Nailed To The Cross sold at auction in January 2016 with the realized price of USD 874,000.00 (€ 806,868.54).
