The work An Unexpected Party on the Beach by Albert Willem was worth GBP 176,400.00 (€ 205,504.05) to a buyer in October last year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Willem; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of GBP 228,600.00 (€ 266,051.04).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Albert Willem; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 228.600,00 (€ 266.051,04).
