In March this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work After the Test Drive, Peter decided not to buy the 51,000,000 Dollar Car by Albert Willem. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 14,025.00 (€ 15,956.15), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Willem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt in June this year with an auction result of GBP 228,600.00 (€ 266,051.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit After the Test Drive, Peter decided not to buy the 51,000,000 Dollar Car von Albert Willem zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 14.025,00 (€ 15.956,15) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Willem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 228.600,00 (€ 266.051,04).
