Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work A Thrilling Triathlon by Albert Willem was worth GBP 82,550.00 (€ 94,790.33) to a buyer in October this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Willem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt, which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 228,600.00 (€ 266,051.04).

Die Arbeit A Thrilling Triathlon von Albert Willem war einem Käufer im Oktober diesen Jahres GBP 82.550,00 (€ 94.790,33) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Willem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 228.600,00 (€ 266.051,04) versteigert wurde.
