Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Albert Willem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year. In the New Now & Design auction, the work Dancing at the Ball sold for HKD 381,000.00 (€ 44,708.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Willem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt in June this year with an auction result of GBP 228,600.00 (€ 266,051.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Willem erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now & Design wurde die Arbeit Dancing at the Ball für HKD 381.000,00 (€ 44.708,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Willem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 228.600,00 (€ 266.051,04).
