Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Ibis in the Swamp by Albert Tucker. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 27,060.00 (€ 16,407.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ibis in the Swamp von Albert Tucker zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 27.060,00 (€ 16.407,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
