The work Australian intruder And Parrots by Albert Tucker was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The price achieved of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian intruder And Parrots is the most expensive artwork by Albert Tucker that we have observed at auctions so far.
