Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ibises, 1964 by Albert Tucker was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of AUD 17,220.00 (€ 10,275.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ibises, 1964 von Albert Tucker wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 17.220,00 (€ 10.275,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
