Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Rosellas In Flight by Albert Tucker was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. The price achieved of AUD 26,400.00 (€ 14,938.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).

Die Arbeit Australian Rosellas In Flight von Albert Tucker wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 26.400,00 (€ 14.938,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen.
