Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Ibises by Albert Tucker. The price achieved of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 17,654.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 28,000.00 – 38,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Ibises von Albert Tucker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 17.654,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 28.000,00 – 38.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
