The work Australian Parrots And Bush by Albert Tucker was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 43,200.00 (€ 25,832.59), 23% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
