However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Roelofs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toekomstdromen, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).

Die Arbeit A pause from posing: an elegant lady seated in the artist's studio von Albert Roelofs kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 45.410,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toekomstdromen beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13) versteigert wurde.
