The work Ibis, Sunset by Albert Tucker was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2005. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 13,145.00 (€ 8,243.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).

Die Arbeit Ibis, Sunset von Albert Tucker kam im November 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 13.145,00 (€ 8.243,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
