Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision, which included the work A seated classical figure by Albert Joseph Moore. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 802.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Joseph Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jasmine in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).
