This work without title by Albert Gallatin was worth USD 47,500.00 (€ 33,490.80) to a buyer in March 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Gallatin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot New York World'S Fair sold at auction in September 2017 with the realized price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,791.50).
