Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ripple Effect by Alan Shields was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in July 2010. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 956.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Shields achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).

Die Arbeit Ripple Effect von Alan Shields wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 956,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Shields erzielen.
