Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Holy cow by Ahmad Zakii Anwar was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,038.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).

Die Arbeit Holy cow von Ahmad Zakii Anwar kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.038,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28) versteigert wurde.
