Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ahmad Zakii Anwar was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,394.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man in April 2007 with an auction result of SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ahmad Zakii Anwar wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.394,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28).
