In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Still Life by Ahmad Zakii Anwar. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,934.89), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man in April 2007 with an auction result of SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Ahmad Zakii Anwar zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.934,89) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28).
