Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Buddha by Ahmad Zakii Anwar was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,536.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Buddha von Ahmad Zakii Anwar kam im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.536,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28) versteigert wurde.
