Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Villalta by Afro was sold in the Contemporary Art | Milan auction at Sothebys in Milan in May 2021. The price achieved of EUR 671,950.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500,000.00 – 750,000.00. Other works by Afro have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Porta Portese was auctioned for USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Villalta von Afro wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 671.950,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500.000,00 – 750.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Afro konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2012 die Arbeit Porta Portese für USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18) versteigert.
