Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Come Back, We Are with You, Come Back (Anufriev Series) 31 1/4 x 21 1/4 in. (79.38 x 54.0 cm) unframed by Afrika was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of USD 446.25 (€ 410.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afrika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Malevich! in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,473.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Come Back, We Are with You, Come Back (Anufriev Series) 31 1/4 x 21 1/4 in. (79.38 x 54.0 cm) unframed von Afrika kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 446,25 (€ 410,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afrika erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Malevich! im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.473,92).
