In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Mediterranean harbour with stevedores unloading their ships, figures selling fish in the foreground by a fortress by Adrien Manglard. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 78,832.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Mediterranean harbour with stevedores unloading their ships, figures selling fish in the foreground by a fortress is the most expensive artwork by Adrien Manglard that we have observed at auctions so far.
