Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Group Of Figures And A Soldier In A Landscape by Adrien Manglard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,083.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien Manglard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mediterranean harbour with stevedores unloading their ships, figures selling fish in the foreground by a fortress in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 78,832.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Group Of Figures And A Soldier In A Landscape von Adrien Manglard im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.083,35) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrien Manglard erzielen.
