Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cannibal And Nostalgic by Adriana Varejão was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,483.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriana Varejão achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).

Die Arbeit Cannibal And Nostalgic von Adriana Varejão wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.483,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
