Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Butcher by Adrian Ghenie was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 529,200.00 (€ 614,779.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrian Ghenie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pie Fight Interior 12 in May last year with an auction result of HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Butcher von Adrian Ghenie wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 529.200,00 (€ 614.779,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64).
