Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Christies in London held the auction LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze, which included the work Charles Darwin as a Young Man by Adrian Ghenie. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 403,200.00 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrian Ghenie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pie Fight Interior 12 in May last year with an auction result of HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze durch, in der auch die Arbeit Charles Darwin as a Young Man von Adrian Ghenie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 403.200,00 und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64).
