Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Flight into Egypt I by Adrian Ghenie was sold in the LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze auction at Christies in London in October this year. It achieved a price of EUR 3,670,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian Ghenie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pie Fight Interior 12, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Flight into Egypt I von Adrian Ghenie wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.670.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64) versteigert wurde.
