Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lidless Eye by Adrian Ghenie was sold in the Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 38,000,000.00 – 58,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 42,725,000.00 (€ 5,013,568.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Adrian Ghenie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Pie Fight Interior 12 was auctioned for HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lidless Eye von Adrian Ghenie wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 38.000.000,00 – 58.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 42.725.000,00 (€ 5.013.568,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 für HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64) versteigert.
