A top price for Adrian Ghenie - as previously expected
The work Pie Fight Interior 12 by Adrian Ghenie was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 68,000,000.00 – 98,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pie Fight Interior 12 is the most expensive artwork by Adrian Ghenie that we have observed at auctions so far.
