Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A chestnut racehorse in a stable by Adrian Jones. The price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,287.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Adrian Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Last shot at glory; and Making a break in August 2011 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,928.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A chestnut racehorse in a stable von Adrian Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.287,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrian Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Last shot at glory; and Making a break im August 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.928,94).
