Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pink Ground (A.A.A. 77) by Adolph Gottlieb was auctioned at Phillips in 6 - in September this year. The price achieved of USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,599.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolph Gottlieb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,812,500.00 (€ 4,250,198.71).
