Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Phillips in 6 - held the auction Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction, which included the work Black Field (A.A.A. 74) by Adolph Gottlieb. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,794.00 (€ 2,639.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolph Gottlieb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,812,500.00 (€ 4,250,198.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 6 - die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Field (A.A.A. 74) von Adolph Gottlieb zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.794,00 (€ 2.639,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolph Gottlieb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bonac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.812.500,00 (€ 4.250.198,71).
